Civets choose themselves, which coffee beans they eat.
They can vary their diet, but eat coffee cherries because they are delicious and sweet
Civets stay healthy, because they do what they want, eat what they want and obviously live free. Healthy Civets = better product
Better for Quality, better for animals – Happy animals = better product
Caged Kopi Luwak
Most of the industry sells caged coffee – easier and cheaper to produce
Caged Civets get sick easily – therefore are mostly pumped full with drugs
Caged Civets can rarely vary their diet. A complete diet is important to keep them healthy and to produce the enzymes, which break down the protein in the coffee beans.
